The details tell you who built it

Hand-shaped volute scrolls. Scroll-cut porch brackets. A bench that wraps the deck it belongs to. The signature work isn't ornament for its own sake. It's the proof the rest of the job got the same hands.

Ten years on this mountain

I'm Ricky Scripter. I trained formally as a carpenter before I ever took a paying job, and I've spent the last ten years on the Plateau building timber-frame homes, custom decks and screened porches, custom doors and gates, and bringing weathered structures back to life.

I don't chase volume and I don't travel off the mountain. I take the work I can do right, for owners who care about craft as much as I do. If you're building or restoring a home in Sewanee, Monteagle, or anywhere on the South Cumberland, and you want it built like it'll stand for generations, let's talk.
